February Favourites!

Hello my lovelies!
I'd just like to apologise for being the world worst blogger and I hope you can all accept my apology and continue to read the blog I have finally decided to write! I also apologise for the lack of photo's as my phone is being a pile of rubbish and won't upload the photo's I have taken, what a pile of poop! Anyway as the monthly favourites videos have started to float about on youtube, I decided I'd do a 'February Favourites' blog!I thought I'd mix the favourites together to create this blogpost! There'll be a few make up favourites, music favourites and then a few random favourites! Here goes chummys!

Make Up

Benefit Rockateur Blush
This is so preeeeetty! I literally spent ages deciding if I was going to buy this product and then I was like, whatever it's pretty! I'd say it was a very soft, bronzy-blush in a rose-gold colour. It's literally so shimmery and pigmented and lasts a good eight hours on the skin when used with primer. I have relatively fair skin, and I think it looks good, however on darker skin tones I think it could look a little metallic. Rockateur weights less than other Benefit Blush Boxes as it is a soft powder that would crack in a deep pan. I do think maybe benefit should've put the price down just a little to reflect the weight, however I do genuinely adore this blush and wouldn't want it cracking. Often, contour isn't needed with this blush, just because it is so bronzing itself. I have applied it as a rosy hued highlighter  when I do contour. The blush looked lovely when teamed with Benefit Hoola.I love this blush, and I think it'll be the first of many Benefit Blushes I purchase!

Benefit Rockateur / £23.50 for 5g

Benefit Boi-ing
I got this as I received a mini sample size in a christmas set and loved it! I have it in the shade 01 as I am super pale and I love it. I am not usually overly spotty (touch wood), but when I do get a spot this concealer covers it up with no problems. In winter, my cheeks go incredibly red, and this concealer does an excellent job to cover up red patches. If too much is applied, it can look cakey, and does begin to wear off if it isn't teamed with primer. The concealer itself is anti-bacterial so helps eliminate spots as well as covering them. It's a medium coverage, but definitely works when teamed with a good foundation, or no foundation at all depending on what sort of coverage you are aiming for. It is expensive for something you replace as easy as concealer and application is unhygienic(often the only way to get the product out the pan is by using your fingers). Also, with it being winter my skin is peeling, mainly on my nose, and the concealer does tend to latch onto flakes. All that said, I really like the formula, the coverage, and the way your skin feels after using the concealer so it is highly likely I will repurchase.

Benefit Boi-ing / £17.50 for 3g

Lancome Hypnose Star Mascara
I'm not entirely sure if this is the exact name, but I know it's something along the lines of Lancome Hypnose Star! Anyway, I received two of these mascaras as a gift from my Aunt for my birthday/christmas (we haven't seen her in a very long time), and at first I was a little confused. I know my mum is a massive fan of this mascara, but I just thought, hm, why two mascaras? I am still baffled as to why Lancome would make a set with two of the same mascara and nothing else in it, BUT, they are absolutely amazing. For one I love it because it's glittery and I mean who doesn't love glitter, and it makes my eyelashes super duper long! As it was a gift I'm not entirely sure of the price but I think single Lancome mascaras are about £22, so expensive, but definitely worth it!!

Chubby Sticks
A few brands have started selling the chubby sticks, and this week I've picked up three from three different brands.

Revlon Colourburst Laquer Balm - Demure // £7.99
Bourjois Colour Boost - 04 Peach on the Beach £7.99
Clinique Chubby Stick Instense - 06 Roomiest Rose // £17

Obviously, as they're different brands there are differences in formula and finish, however they're essentially the same thing, a sheer lip colour applied like a balm. The bourjois one is my favourite of the 3, as I like the colour most, however they're all lovely and I will wear them frequently.

Music
My three favourites bands of all time are Little Comets, The Smiths and Bombay Bicycle Club, and the latter of the three have just released a new album which is gorgeous! I suggest you listen to So Long, See You Tomorrow, asap!! Two best tracks are Luna and Carry Me in my opinion! I am also still loving Jennifer and other short stories, an EP by Little Comets, and their newest EP 'The Gentle EP'!
Also the wicked soundtack as I'm off to see Wicked next month!! How exciting!

Randoms
The Disney Store- Spend far too much money and time in here recently, but it just reminds me of being little and everythings so cute and adorable. I'm a young leader at a rainbow unit in my community, and they all talk to me about disney and it's adorable!

Blood Brothers - I went on a school trip to see it very recently, and it was absolutely fabulous, some of the songs are incredbily and the narrator was very dishy! It was amazing, and if you have the opportunity, go and see it and listen to the songs!

Lolita // Ben Brooks - This book is one of my new favourites, this is the second time I've read it and I adore it even more! It is a little perculiar, but very good and very different to anything I've ever read!

Homework / Relaxation / Chilly Wintry Nights Playlist

Hello my lovelies!

I am really bad at this organised blogging lark and so have decided to scrap my schedule and just bring you blogs which I like when I can. Today I am doing a blog different from my make up blogs as I am trying to drift away from my make up obsession (yes I did just say that). Basically, I have no job, and therefor no money. When I receive money I spent it, on make up. I want to start saving, for things I really want and need, and well, make up just isn't a necessity. Also it means when I do buy make up, it's a little treat, and more special :). Obviously when I do get new products I will review them ect, and I will still wear make up, just very samey samey make up on a daily basis. Also my collection won't be as extensive and wont continue to expand at a ridiculous rate. All that over and done with, todays blog is a few of my song which I just put on at home, whilst doing my homework or reading and just chill and listen to. I know not all these songs will be to everyones taste, and some may even seem peculiar, however, I find them particularly relaxing and feel almost stress free when I listen to them :)

Night Forest (Live Old Piano) - Il'ya Beshevli
I was browsing some of 8tracks' (a music app) Sherlock playlists and I came across this playlist called "Deduction" and I absolutely loved it. I was stressed out that day because I'd had an incredibly difficult French mock exam and just needed to stop thinking for a while and calm down a little. This playlist helped me to do exactly that, as it was just so relaxing. It's full of songs where there is only a piano and occasionally another instrument and it's just so fantastic. I think the description of the playlist was 'inside Sherlock's mind', which made me adore it even more as i think anyone would love to be able to comprehend what goes on inside Sherlock Holmes' head.

Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For - Orla Gartland
An absolutely gorgeous rendition of the U2 song. I adore Orla Gartland's voice so much and she deserves copious amounts of recognition. The song is just so so so good it's inexplicable. Go over to youtube and look at Orla's covers because she is genuinely amazing and the cover is just absolutely gorgeous!

It's About Time - Barcelona
I adore this song so much. Again I found it on 8tracks, and as soon as I heard it I was tweeting lyrics and singing it all the time. I absolutely adore the style of the song. It had a sort of TDCC / The Killers feel to it, but also a sense of individuality. I absolutely adore it and there is a lyric which I love and it's something like 'They cant love me, they cant love what I dont show'. I really don't know it just sticks out so much and this song is just absolutely wonderful! If you only listen to one song on this list, make sure it's this one because I honestly believe you'll adore it.

Woods - Bon Iver
I adore Bon Iver, and if you don't well, you're wrong. This song is so gorgeous and chilled. It has a subtle electro vibe, and isn't like anything I've heard before. I think it was on Skins a while ago, and thats where I initially heard it. I rediscovered it when my phone was on shuffle, and omg I adore it once more. I find it incredibly difficult to describe a song without becoming repetitive and boring, and I am starting to run out of superlatives so it is getting tricky, but this song is amazing!

Read My Mind - The Killers
Had to include a killers song in there because they are one of the words greatest bands, and this track was on another 'Sherlock' playlist and I had to put it in, simply because an opportunity to combine my favourite things (sherlock and the killers) cannot not be surpassed. So for the sake of the fantastic band and the program go and listen to this song!

Shake it Out - Florence and the Machine
Finally, we have this wonderful song. I adore Florence Welch she is literally a queen and this song is one of the best off her second album. I loved her first album a lot and got very very excited when her second one was released. Shake it Out is one of the most famous tracks off the album and one of the best. I adore Florence, however I must say, Lungs was a better album than Ceremonials (don't hate), just because every single track was absolutely amazing, although Ceremonials does have some killer tracks, I don't think every single one is as good as Lungs on the whole. That said it's an amazing song, so I suggest you listen to it! :-)

Okay, so they're just a few songs on my little relaxation playlist. Obviously there are plenty of other songs I'd love to talk about I just haven't got the time or space or the vocabulary to do the amazing songs justice! If these songs just aren't enough, I suggest you check out 8tracks, as it's a really good app for music. You can discover new bands like I did, and find songs you'll absolutely love! Thank you for reading my lovelies! Hope you have a lovely day :)

Liebster Blog Tag

Hello my lovelies! I know I've been missing from the blogging scene recently and haven't blogged much as I have been super busy, but I was tagged by the lovely Ellie to do the Liebster Blog Tag which is where you are asked 11 questions by a blogger, you have to answer them, and then ask some other bloggers to answer 11 questions you made up so okay lets go!!!
1.) why did you start blogging in the first place?
I liked the idea of blogging and being able to write about something other than what you do in school, and creative stories. I liked the idea of recommending products and giving people tips and just blogging in general, so I thought why not!
2.) what's your lifestyle like?
This question is difficult! I don't know how to define lifestyle, but my life is often very busy. I rarely get time to sit down and relax and when I do i watch Sherlock! I love writing, and I complete my schoolwork to the best of my ability and I don't think I'm lazy! I don't really give a poop about bad stuff people say or think because no time for negative opinions from other people! My favourite subjects are RE and History and I spend a lot of time out of school with my friends. I also like poetry, reading and make up obviously! I spend the majority of my money on make up and pandora!
3.) music style?
My music style is very diverse, I like bands such as The Killers, Bombay Bicycle Club, Peace, The Smiths, TDCC, Little Comets, Imagine Dragons, Vampire Weekend, Noah and the Whale, The Vaccines, Foals, Swim Deep, Crystal Fighters, Haim, The 1975 Rudimental, Bastille,  Disclosure etc, and then I love Lily Allen, Demi Lovato and so many other artists I literally can't think! But I adore music, and would happily listen to a lot of different styles!
4.) if you watch YouTube who's your favourite youtuber?
Zoella!! I love her channel, and Tanya Burr because her tutorials are so good!
5.) what do you do on a sunny/rainy day?
Sunny Days - Chill with friends in the Garden and stuff, can't wait for summer. Campouts and things!
Rainy - Cinema or Shopping! I don't really plan activities around the weather, I just do what I feel!
6.) skirts or trousers?
Trousers
7.) favourite Disney film?
Tangled, Aladdin, Frozen, Little Mermaid, Dumbo, Tarzan too many to name
8.) do you want a tattoo or do you have one?
I want a little elephant as they're my lucky animal but I don't think I'd ever get one because I cannot deal with pain very well!
9.) favourite snacks?
Tangerine
10.) are you a cat or dog person?
I am a cat person, but I'm allergic!
11.) do you have a bucket list, if so what's your top thing, if not why not?
The top thing on my list is to see Demi Lovato live! My bucket list also contains things such as visit Chanel in Paris, donate money to charity and pass most of my GCSE's (maybe not french).

SO, that's what I was asked, and now I ask YOU
KATE
VICKY
EMILY

to do the tag!!
Your Questions are

1- Goals for 2014
2- Thing you love most about yourself, and thing you hate
3- Favourite TV Programme
4- Favourite food
5- Favourite item of clothing you own and where you bought it
6- How do you spend your weekend
7- What do you want to do when you're older
8- What do you spend your pocket money on if you get it
9- Instagram or Twitter?
10-What's next on your purchase list
11- Do you want any tattoo's or piercings?

Thanks for reading chummys!!!!!!

life update - sunday 9th february

Hello my lovely little peaches!
I haven't written a blog in so long it is crazy! I have just been incredibly busy over the past few weeks and haven't had time to sit down and write a blog. I should be revising now but I am sick of German History and decided to blog instead! So here, have a very belated life update!

So, last week was the school show and it was fabulous! I got to know so many fantastic people and went to a fabby after party at my friends house! It was a wonderful experience, and even I noticed that my confidence had grown over the 4 nights! It was a little messy, and I do not recommend getting shaving foam in your hair!
I had my french speaking test again on Wednesday, and I actually managed to do it after a lot of dithering! I got a B, which I am happy with, as I was aiming for a C, and I loathe French anyway, so all I need to do is pass! Obviously for some people a B is crap and they'd wanna get like A's and A*'s but I really don't care. I tried my best, and I hate speaking on a one to one basis with someone, and it's even harder when it's in a different language, so I am happy with how I did!
Ummmmmm, oh, I have the Poetry Competition thing on Tuesday which I am so nervous for! Remembering a poem is difficult enough, but having to remember it and recite it in front of lots of people is going to be so difficult! I've really become to appreciate poetry a lot more and I think it is doing fabulous things for my brain!
I'm going to see blood brothers with the drama department in a week I think and I am excited because I've never seen it before and I've heard good things, but apparently I will cry!
The next fortnight is mock fortnight at school and I am not prepared. I have 5 exams, which is alright as some people have like eight, however, I find it almost impossible to revise. I have a history one tomorrow, for two hours! A PE one on tuesday, French on Wednesday (which I will fail), a Maths one on Thursday and an RE one next Friday! I am positive about Maths and RE, as I like those subjects, and I think I will do okay, but the other ones I have no idea what I am doing, and there is too much to revise for history! But once they're out the way it's half term so I am very happy!!

I am watching Sherlock all the time instead of doing school work which is bad but I just love it and must watch every episode at least 5 times. It's got to the point where I wish I was the female version of Sherlock!
Sooooo another life update done and dusted, hope y'all enjoyed it and I'll be back blogging soon!

Life Update - 28/01/14

Hello there my lovelies!
I have been incredibly naughty and not done a blog post in forever! I do apologise, however I have been super busy! I thought better late then never and decided to do a life update blog!
So since last Friday I have had a lot of rehearsals for Bugsy Malone, and this week is show week! It's been a crazy time, but the show looks so so good and the splurge at the end is hilarious (today during the matinee, I was absolutely covered in shaving foam). I also had a very embarrassing experience in assembly this morning, as my English Teacher made me stand up in front of my entire year and receive an award for the poetry competition. Most embarrassing day of ma life ever!
I had a fabulous weekend this weekend as I went shopping with my chummy, went to a lil party and then had Bugsy on Sunday! The week before that, I had a fabulous weekend with my other chummy Ellie! We recorded a Youtube Video together, which you can find here! It's just a massive blooper because we are rubbish at filming videos!
I also got a cuddly Pascal (the chameleon from Tangled), and it is my most favourite thing in the world. Tangled is my favourite film and Pascal is literally the coolest lil chameleon  so yeaaaah!
On a less happy note, I have my french retest next week, which I hope to do well on, and I also have mocks in two weeks time! HURRRRRAY! I have a two hour history mock, which isn't too bad as I really like History, but two hours is a long time! So, this means less blogging as more revision is required :( !!!!! Hopefully I shall manage my time effectively and blog and revise at the same time (not at the exact same time obvs, but I mean still manage to do both!!!!!!)
Okizay, there we have it! I am sorry for being a crap blogger who doesn't stick to the schedule, but I am a busy bee!!!!!
LOVE Y'ALL LOTS

Life Update - 17/01/2013

Hello my lovely little peaches!
I hope you've all had an utterly wonderful Friday, and are planning on having a fabulous weekend! As it is Friday, I am bringing you my third life update blog! I love blogging, and I am so close to my 1000th page view, which is craaaaazy!!! I hope you enjoy reading it and I hope you know I love you all bazillions!!!!

So, my weeks been pretty busy, but pretty damn good! I've been rehearsing and revising lines for my drama exam which was postponed to Monday! I've been revising my paragraphs for my French re-sit and I've been attempting to remember 3 poems! It's all a lil' crazy! I am really happy at school at the minute, and I'm not getting too stressed out and negative about things, which is good!!
I had an RE lesson today, that really made me think. We were doing about the Bucket List, and what would be on your bucket list. Mine included things like going to New York and seeing Demi Lovato live!  We then watched a video about this man, who had a son with cerebral palsy, and wanted to help his son complete his bucket list! It was so inspirational to see someone doing completely selfless acts to enhance someone's quality of life and I was actually crying all the way through! It kind of inspired me to do well in life so I can go on and help other people as a career! It also made me feel bad for moaning about the tiniest things!, and also for being a bit of a pain in the arse, and spreading negativity sometimes. I've had a lot of motivation to be positive and try really hard this past week so I shall separate myself from negativity and hopefully succeed! :-) I also think I might do a bucket list blog post next week?
The teacher I had for the RE lesson was also a Demi fan, so we had a lil chat about Demi, and the Disney crew!
I've started wearing a new foundation mixed with my beloved mac studio fix! I bought L'oreal True Match in the shade Ivory, and I really love it! It's dead easy to blend and looks flawless!!!
Also this past week or so I've been watching so much tv! I am not the sort of person that sits down and watches TV because I prefer watching youtube videos or listening to music, however I have been watching so many programs this week. Obviously I've been watching Sherlock because it's absolutely wonderful! But I've also been watching Silent Witness, and I've been watching Broadchurch again because I am obsessed! I love murder programs (call me weird), and I'd really love to be a detective or work in forensic science because I find it so interesting!
So, another life update, DONE!

Suggest blogs you wish to see my lovelies and I shall speak to you soon!

Christmas and Shopping Haul!

Hello my gorgeous chums!

Today is Monday which means HAUL / REVIEW DAY! I haven't found a product I really wanna review yet so today I am doing a little haul about what I got for christmas and what I bought when I went shopping with my chums!

                                                                   *DISCLAIMER*
I AM NOT SHOWING OFF! I LIKE READING HAULS AND SO I THOUGHT ID DO ONE, SORRY, I WORKED FOR MY MONEY AND CHRISTMAS HAPPENS ONCE A YEAR SO I THOUGHT I'D SHOW YOU WHAT I GOT PLEASE DONT TAKE IT AS IM SHOWING OFF AS IT'LL MAKE ME UPSET AND I WONT WANT TO BLOG ANYMORE:(
thank you gorgeous peoples hope y'all understand love ya's x

Christmas, Boxing Day and Festive Shinanagins

Christmas was weird in my house this year as my sister was away on holiday. From my gorgeous parents I got a Michael Kors watch in Rose Gold, the Opal Stone Pandora Ring, Real Techniques eye brushes, Real Techniques Core Collection, perfumes, Benefit make up set and a few other sentimental bits and bobs. I got mainly money from other relatives and a comfy elephant onesie and a dressing gown from my Great Grandma! I had a nice day with my family!
On Boxing Day I went to my Grans and slept at my friends before going to Meadowhall the day after, where I bought nothing. Essentially it was a boring, tiring and pointless day! I then went to the Cinema on Saturday to see Anchorman 2 which was hilarious!

Leeds
I went to Leeds on Sunday in search of an outfit for NYE. I came back with no outfit, however I did buy some other fabulous things.
MAC Purchases
Studio Fix Fluid
I adore this foundation so much, it provides such a good coverage and lasts all day! The one the woman recommended for me is actually a little dark as I had tan on, however with a bit of blending it makes my skin look blemish free! Definitely recommend this even though it is on the pricey side at £21.50 for 30ml.
Creme Sheen Lipstick - Pure Zen
This is such a gorgeous lipstick! It's like a really nude pink. I wear it for just a simple every day look and I absolutely love it. I've actually begun to neglect Creme Cup for this lipstick! It's a cremesheen finish which is my favourite as they smell gorgeous, look so pretty and they're really moisturising which is really good in the winter months! I love this lipstick and I am sure you'll see it in some future blogs!
Benefit Purchases
Brow-zing's Brow Kit
I bought this because I'd heard a lot about it, and it is a good product. Your brows stay on all day and they do look good once you've got the hang of drawing them on. The only problem is I find it so difficult to apply the wax, and the brushes are so small! The powder is really good, and when I can't be bothered or have no time I just use the powder to fill my eyebrows in. I do like it, but if you're in a rush, I'd stick to pencil for your eyebrows because the brow kit is such a pain! Also it is expensive, and I don't think it's worth it!
They're Real Mascara
This mascara is literally the best mascara in the entire world! It makes your lashes so long and they just look fabulous! I have long eyelashes that don't curl but this mascara just makes them look fabulous! I would suggest everyone should buy this mascara! You only need a tiny bit as it's so lengthening, and if you put too much on it looks so clumpy and disgusting! It lasts such a long time and is so worth £19.50 for the big bottle! You can also buy the mini for £9.50 but I myself hate the tiny applicator! So yes, DEFINITELY GO GET THE MASCARA!!!!
Pandora Purchase
Black Leather Moments Bracelet
I wanted a pandora bracelet after I saw how pretty one of my friends looked! I have also become obsessed with Pandora at the moment! I got my ring for christmas, and then felt the need to have a bracelet to go with. I have charms for it also but I don't wear them because they scratch my watch which is a waste really but oh well! I also want the essence bracelet, so I can get the positivity charm and spread the message of positivity wherever I go *hint hint* ;-)

I reaaaally want to do clothing hauls, because I love reading them but I don't buy clothes! I do obviously, but haven't bought new clothes in a long time as I'm stuck in this phase of spending most of my money on expensive make up! I am trying to cut down on the amount of make up I buy, but it's literally my favourite thing in the entire world, like it's as bad as a serious addiction! So, HOPEFULLY, I shall buy some clothes soon!

Finally, I got a late christmas present from my sister. She went away for Christmas and brought me back a fabulous present, it's a YSL Rouge Volupte Shine Lipstick!
I was so happy because I've wanted a YSL lipstick for so long and I finally got one!
It's so gorgeous and I genuinely can't tell you how much I love it! I've used so much of it already and need to stop but it is literally just so pretty!!!!!!!!

Okay so that was a little christmas/shopping haul. It is a little late, however I haven't done very much shopping since then (I have done some, just not enough for a haul;)) Hope you enjoyed it very soon, and let me know if you wish to see any blogs in the near future!
Love you all dearly xxxxxxx

Life Update - 12/01/13

Hello my gorgeous little flower buds!
Here I am once again, bringing you a second life update blog! I love reading these blogs and I hope you do too!
It is late as I have been so busy the past few days and just haven't had time to sit down and do anything as I've been rushing round all over the place!!

I have to re-do my French because I panicked and messed up. I literally hate being stressed and under pressure and panic forget everything! But I shall re-do it, try a little harder to remember it and HOPEFULLY achieve my target!
I also had the dress rehearsal for my drama exam which was literally so stressful but we got through it. Our performance was a little short (a lot) but we've added some bits to hopefully make it longer for the exam tomorrow!
I hope to put up a haul blog tomorrow, however, I'm making no promises because I haven't photographed anything yet and by the time I'm home the bright light has gone! I would've done it today, but I had a 6 hour 'Bugsy Malone' rehearsal!
Yesterday I went out for a meal with all my gorgeous best friends for my friends birthday and I must say it was actually so good! As a friendship group we go for meals a lot, but I genuinely think this one was one of the best! My week was poop and the meal just cheered me up so much, and made me realise I have a fantastic friendship group and I should be extremely positive and happy because I have so much to be happy about and I am so lucky! So yes, I am going to be very positive about the wonderful week, and in fact life, I have a head of me!
Short and sweet as they say!
Thanks for reading sugars

Top 5 Albums at the Moment!

Hello lovelies!
To kick off the first of my 'Top 5' Blogs, I thought I'd do something a bit different! My blog is about me as a person and my two biggest loves are music and make up. I do a lot of make up blog posts and thought, hey, let's do a music blog post! So, here are 5 albums that I am absolutely loving at the moment.

Modern Vampires of the City - Vampire Weekend
A less well known choice but a gorgeous album. This is Vampire Weekends 3rd album and it is absolutely wonderful. Each track is different and Ezra Koenig, the lead singer, wrote and composed all the songs and they're all so good! I love Diane Young, which was the first single that released off the album, it's just so upbeat and happy! I have loved Vampire Weekend for a long time and this third album is the best yet in my opinion. I have this thing about owning albums I love as like the hard copy, and the album artwork and packaging on this album is so pretty, and that makes me love it even more! Definitely worth a listen, and a few songs are on my summer playlist already!

Crystal Fighters - Star of Love
I love this band and this album so much. I heard 'With You' on an episode of Skins a while ago and instantly loved it. I think the first album is better than the second, and my personal favourite is 'Plage'. A lot of the songs are just summery, upbeat, dancing songs. Seeing them live in December made my adoration grow, and now I am constantly listening to them. Their songs are going to be on my summer playlist, but I do listen to them in the winter months to stop the gloomy weather spreading gloom everywhere! Also at the concert they spread positive vibes and inspirational words, which I love as positivity is the key to happiness and success in my opinion.

Eliza Doolittle - In Your Hands
This album is probably my favourite out of the five. It is full of amazing tracks. Big When I Was Little was on for the majority of my summer, and I listened to let it rain about 400 times on a really long car journey and still didn't get tired of it. My personal favourite is "Walking on Water", it's just a really chilled song and is just wonderfully written, just like all the songs on this album. I think the meaning behind 'Walking on Water" is just adorable and thats why I like it so much. Eliza Doolittle's voice is absolutely insane and so unique and I adore her.

Disclosure - Settle
This album is certainly one of the best to come out of 2013. It has a 90's garage/dance feel and I love it. Each song is different and some of the collaborations are amazing. "You & Me" and "Running" are my personal favourites, but all the tracks are amazing. The whole album just reminds me of summer and makes me so excited for summer 2014. All the songs just make you so happy and want to move! As you can tell I'm a massive fan of upbeat dancy songs and this album is full of them!

Haim - Days are Gone
This album is less dancy (I'm not even sure if dancy is a word), and more rocky (again is that even a word). 'Don't Save Me' reminds me of our ski trip to Austria which was one of the best memories of 2013! I love Haim, they're so unique and all so gorgeous. Este is my favourite Haim sister though guys! Definitely think everyone should have a wee listen to this album as it's just absolutely amazing!

Thank you for reading chummys, a haul blog shall be up next Monday I am thinking, although I'm not so sure as I have my drama exam!!!! Argh! Anyway, hope you enjoyed this blog my lovelies as it's something a little different! Next time I'm also gonna have a lot of pictures on my blog so hopefully it'll be better to read! Thanks again guys, I love you all very much!!!!!

Life Update - 03/01/2014

Hola!

Today is the first of the Life Update Blogs! It's the first Friday 2014 and I am very excited to begin life update blogs as they're one of my favourite type of blogs to read so lets go!

After two weeks off, I am going back to school on Monday, which I'm actually quite glad about because it means no more snacking when I'm bored in the holidays! The next few months are going to be mad busy as I have so much going on! I have my French Speaking Test on Thursday, which I am super nervous for! I also have my drama exam in two weeks which is really stressful as I am actually not 100% sure about what I am doing
I am also preparing for the next round of the Poetry by Heart competition. My english teacher encouraged me to enter this competition to boost my confidence. It was a competition where you had to recite one poem from memory in the first heat, and if you went on to win the first heat you had to recite two in the school final. If people are still here after that utter nonsense explanation, I went through in my first heat (I am 100% sure it was down to judges favouritism, as all the judges were teachers I have had or have now), and made it to the final. I had one day to learn a poem, which was so difficult as I had drama rehearsals, then my friends birthday meal on the same night! I half learnt the poem and went to the competition unprepared! We all had to recite our two poems in two rounds, first a post 1914 poem and then a pre 1914 poem. The first round went okay for me in my opinion, I got through my poem but I was ridiculously shaky and nervous and so many teachers were watching! The second round was so much harder, I hadn't learnt this poem and was incredibly nervous. I stood up and got about half way through before skipping a huge chunk out and going to the end. I was so sure I wasn't going to succeed as the competition was so fierce and everyone that did it was amazingly good! We then went into this room whilst the judges decided on a winner. It was all very tense and everyone was discussing who they thought was going to win. We were then called back into the room and the judges did little speeches and complimented us all on our performances. Second place was announced and it wasn't me, so at this point I was so sure I'd lost. They then went on to do a massive pause before announcing the winner, and when they said my name I was literally so shocked. I hadn't expected to win at all, I was underprepared and also the competition was drama related and I failed my monologue in Drama as I panicked. Out of the 5 people that were in the final I was probably the one that least wanted to be there, and winning literally made me so happy and it proved I could succeed which was such a good feeling! I'm now in the Regional heat against people from other schools which I am so nervous about! But I feel so proud of myself because I achieved something, and the achievement was sort of like my gateway out of a little bubble of negativity I was stuck in!
Also I have the performance of the school show 'Bugsy Malone' which I am really excited for as Bugsy is a fun musical to perform due to the splurge fight!! I am only a waitress, but I am still uber excited! I also have my Grade 4 singing exam which I am nervous about as I've passed all my previous singing exams with Merit or Distinction, and I really don't want to lose this reputation! I am entering with a different exam board so I have no idea what to expect! I'm singing Someone Like You - Adele, Skinny Love - Birdy and Mercy - Duffy, these are all songs I love but they're also quite challenging so I am hoping I do well and preparing myself! I shall let you know how I get on!
I am approaching everything with a positive attitude and so far it's going really well and I am so much happier and more confident! I am really looking forward to 2014 as a year and I hope it's as good as 2013 if not better.

SO LIFE UPDATE OVER
It was a long one this time as it's my first one, but I assure you they wont be as long in future as I probably won't have much to say!

Thank you so much, see you soon

Blogging Schedule!

Hello my lovely amigos!

Today, I am supposed to be doing French revision, however I have decided that can wait and I am going to start sorting out when exactly I am going to blog! I know people may not be interested in my blog, and wont read all my posts etc, however I do like to be organised and I want to blog more! By abiding by, or trying to abide by a schedule, I will hopefully bring you guys lots of blogs! Woooo!
Blogging has made my confidence grow ALOT! The compliments I get make me smile so much and I adore every single one of you little darlings for reading! I also think blogging has improved my ability to express myself, and it's made me more positive! If I have a bad day or I'm bored and feel alone, I know I can sit down, write a blog, and just feel a little bit better about myself! All that sentimental rubbish out the way, I want to blog, blog and blog some more! So here is my blog schedule which I shall stick to (HOPEFULLY)

EVERY FRIDAY - LIFE UPDATE
For the minority that are interested, Friday is life update day! These will just be little short blogs to say hello and a little insight into my life! Hopefully interesting things are to come!!

EVERY OTHER MONDAY - REVIEWS / HAULS
Depending on when I go shopping (which is usually all the time) I will either do a review of a new or old product or a haul! I want to do more blogging about clothes as well as make up so hopefully this'll bring some clothing hauls!

EVERY OTHER WEDNESDAY - TOP 5'S
Weeks where I haven't done hauls, I shall do top 5's. These may be top 5 random lipsticks, or top 5 branded lipsticks or any other top 5's of a product! I really like these types of blog and as I buy make up a lot, I think it'll be an easy one to keep up with!

RANDOM DAYS RANDOM BLOGS!
Of course there will be random blogs about random things! These might be trips or just little notes and quotes, here and there!

Thank You Lovelies!!!!!!
