Homework / Relaxation / Chilly Wintry Nights Playlist

Hello my lovelies!

I am really bad at this organised blogging lark and so have decided to scrap my schedule and just bring you blogs which I like when I can. Today I am doing a blog different from my make up blogs as I am trying to drift away from my make up obsession (yes I did just say that). Basically, I have no job, and therefor no money. When I receive money I spent it, on make up. I want to start saving, for things I really want and need, and well, make up just isn't a necessity. Also it means when I do buy make up, it's a little treat, and more special :). Obviously when I do get new products I will review them ect, and I will still wear make up, just very samey samey make up on a daily basis. Also my collection won't be as extensive and wont continue to expand at a ridiculous rate. All that over and done with, todays blog is a few of my song which I just put on at home, whilst doing my homework or reading and just chill and listen to. I know not all these songs will be to everyones taste, and some may even seem peculiar, however, I find them particularly relaxing and feel almost stress free when I listen to them :)

Night Forest (Live Old Piano) - Il'ya Beshevli
I was browsing some of 8tracks' (a music app) Sherlock playlists and I came across this playlist called "Deduction" and I absolutely loved it. I was stressed out that day because I'd had an incredibly difficult French mock exam and just needed to stop thinking for a while and calm down a little. This playlist helped me to do exactly that, as it was just so relaxing. It's full of songs where there is only a piano and occasionally another instrument and it's just so fantastic. I think the description of the playlist was 'inside Sherlock's mind', which made me adore it even more as i think anyone would love to be able to comprehend what goes on inside Sherlock Holmes' head.

Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For - Orla Gartland
An absolutely gorgeous rendition of the U2 song. I adore Orla Gartland's voice so much and she deserves copious amounts of recognition. The song is just so so so good it's inexplicable. Go over to youtube and look at Orla's covers because she is genuinely amazing and the cover is just absolutely gorgeous!

It's About Time - Barcelona
I adore this song so much. Again I found it on 8tracks, and as soon as I heard it I was tweeting lyrics and singing it all the time. I absolutely adore the style of the song. It had a sort of TDCC / The Killers feel to it, but also a sense of individuality. I absolutely adore it and there is a lyric which I love and it's something like 'They cant love me, they cant love what I dont show'. I really don't know it just sticks out so much and this song is just absolutely wonderful! If you only listen to one song on this list, make sure it's this one because I honestly believe you'll adore it.

Woods - Bon Iver
I adore Bon Iver, and if you don't well, you're wrong. This song is so gorgeous and chilled. It has a subtle electro vibe, and isn't like anything I've heard before. I think it was on Skins a while ago, and thats where I initially heard it. I rediscovered it when my phone was on shuffle, and omg I adore it once more. I find it incredibly difficult to describe a song without becoming repetitive and boring, and I am starting to run out of superlatives so it is getting tricky, but this song is amazing!

Read My Mind - The Killers
Had to include a killers song in there because they are one of the words greatest bands, and this track was on another 'Sherlock' playlist and I had to put it in, simply because an opportunity to combine my favourite things (sherlock and the killers) cannot not be surpassed. So for the sake of the fantastic band and the program go and listen to this song!

Shake it Out - Florence and the Machine
Finally, we have this wonderful song. I adore Florence Welch she is literally a queen and this song is one of the best off her second album. I loved her first album a lot and got very very excited when her second one was released. Shake it Out is one of the most famous tracks off the album and one of the best. I adore Florence, however I must say, Lungs was a better album than Ceremonials (don't hate), just because every single track was absolutely amazing, although Ceremonials does have some killer tracks, I don't think every single one is as good as Lungs on the whole. That said it's an amazing song, so I suggest you listen to it! :-)

Okay, so they're just a few songs on my little relaxation playlist. Obviously there are plenty of other songs I'd love to talk about I just haven't got the time or space or the vocabulary to do the amazing songs justice! If these songs just aren't enough, I suggest you check out 8tracks, as it's a really good app for music. You can discover new bands like I did, and find songs you'll absolutely love! Thank you for reading my lovelies! Hope you have a lovely day :)

Liebster Blog Tag

Hello my lovelies! I know I've been missing from the blogging scene recently and haven't blogged much as I have been super busy, but I was tagged by the lovely Ellie to do the Liebster Blog Tag which is where you are asked 11 questions by a blogger, you have to answer them, and then ask some other bloggers to answer 11 questions you made up so okay lets go!!!
1.) why did you start blogging in the first place?
I liked the idea of blogging and being able to write about something other than what you do in school, and creative stories. I liked the idea of recommending products and giving people tips and just blogging in general, so I thought why not!
2.) what's your lifestyle like?
This question is difficult! I don't know how to define lifestyle, but my life is often very busy. I rarely get time to sit down and relax and when I do i watch Sherlock! I love writing, and I complete my schoolwork to the best of my ability and I don't think I'm lazy! I don't really give a poop about bad stuff people say or think because no time for negative opinions from other people! My favourite subjects are RE and History and I spend a lot of time out of school with my friends. I also like poetry, reading and make up obviously! I spend the majority of my money on make up and pandora!
3.) music style?
My music style is very diverse, I like bands such as The Killers, Bombay Bicycle Club, Peace, The Smiths, TDCC, Little Comets, Imagine Dragons, Vampire Weekend, Noah and the Whale, The Vaccines, Foals, Swim Deep, Crystal Fighters, Haim, The 1975 Rudimental, Bastille,  Disclosure etc, and then I love Lily Allen, Demi Lovato and so many other artists I literally can't think! But I adore music, and would happily listen to a lot of different styles!
4.) if you watch YouTube who's your favourite youtuber?
Zoella!! I love her channel, and Tanya Burr because her tutorials are so good!
5.) what do you do on a sunny/rainy day?
Sunny Days - Chill with friends in the Garden and stuff, can't wait for summer. Campouts and things!
Rainy - Cinema or Shopping! I don't really plan activities around the weather, I just do what I feel!
6.) skirts or trousers?
Trousers
7.) favourite Disney film?
Tangled, Aladdin, Frozen, Little Mermaid, Dumbo, Tarzan too many to name
8.) do you want a tattoo or do you have one?
I want a little elephant as they're my lucky animal but I don't think I'd ever get one because I cannot deal with pain very well!
9.) favourite snacks?
Tangerine
10.) are you a cat or dog person?
I am a cat person, but I'm allergic!
11.) do you have a bucket list, if so what's your top thing, if not why not?
The top thing on my list is to see Demi Lovato live! My bucket list also contains things such as visit Chanel in Paris, donate money to charity and pass most of my GCSE's (maybe not french).

SO, that's what I was asked, and now I ask YOU
KATE
VICKY
EMILY

to do the tag!!
Your Questions are

1- Goals for 2014
2- Thing you love most about yourself, and thing you hate
3- Favourite TV Programme
4- Favourite food
5- Favourite item of clothing you own and where you bought it
6- How do you spend your weekend
7- What do you want to do when you're older
8- What do you spend your pocket money on if you get it
9- Instagram or Twitter?
10-What's next on your purchase list
11- Do you want any tattoo's or piercings?

Thanks for reading chummys!!!!!!

life update - sunday 9th february

Hello my lovely little peaches!
I haven't written a blog in so long it is crazy! I have just been incredibly busy over the past few weeks and haven't had time to sit down and write a blog. I should be revising now but I am sick of German History and decided to blog instead! So here, have a very belated life update!

So, last week was the school show and it was fabulous! I got to know so many fantastic people and went to a fabby after party at my friends house! It was a wonderful experience, and even I noticed that my confidence had grown over the 4 nights! It was a little messy, and I do not recommend getting shaving foam in your hair!
I had my french speaking test again on Wednesday, and I actually managed to do it after a lot of dithering! I got a B, which I am happy with, as I was aiming for a C, and I loathe French anyway, so all I need to do is pass! Obviously for some people a B is crap and they'd wanna get like A's and A*'s but I really don't care. I tried my best, and I hate speaking on a one to one basis with someone, and it's even harder when it's in a different language, so I am happy with how I did!
Ummmmmm, oh, I have the Poetry Competition thing on Tuesday which I am so nervous for! Remembering a poem is difficult enough, but having to remember it and recite it in front of lots of people is going to be so difficult! I've really become to appreciate poetry a lot more and I think it is doing fabulous things for my brain!
I'm going to see blood brothers with the drama department in a week I think and I am excited because I've never seen it before and I've heard good things, but apparently I will cry!
The next fortnight is mock fortnight at school and I am not prepared. I have 5 exams, which is alright as some people have like eight, however, I find it almost impossible to revise. I have a history one tomorrow, for two hours! A PE one on tuesday, French on Wednesday (which I will fail), a Maths one on Thursday and an RE one next Friday! I am positive about Maths and RE, as I like those subjects, and I think I will do okay, but the other ones I have no idea what I am doing, and there is too much to revise for history! But once they're out the way it's half term so I am very happy!!

I am watching Sherlock all the time instead of doing school work which is bad but I just love it and must watch every episode at least 5 times. It's got to the point where I wish I was the female version of Sherlock!
Sooooo another life update done and dusted, hope y'all enjoyed it and I'll be back blogging soon!
