The Versatile Blogger Award

Hello again!
Right so I'd just finished my previous blog, and I posted a link on twitter like I always do, and in the little 'Who to Follow box', a user called @mursgyal appeared. I recognised her from instagram, so followed, and saw she had a blog! I was like ooooo blog buddy, so I went and had a little look. She had done the Versatile Blogger Award, and I was SO surprised to see my blog as one of the nominations! I am so grateful for the nomination and it's nice to know people do actually read my blog! So, thank you very much Ellie! (http://ellielouisehirst.blogspot.co.uk)

As part of the award, you have to write 7 facts about yourself on your blog post, so here goes.

1) My full name is Emily Charlotte Mather and I was born on the 22nd October 1998.
2) I have one sister, 2 cats, 10 chickens, a fish and a rabbit.
3) My favourite animal is the Elephant. I think they're adorable, and also I have this little lucky elephant which I lost quite a while ago, however I found it last monday, and since then a lot have things have gone right for me! (oooo, superstition)
4) I love disney, and anything Disney related. My favourite Disney Films are probably Tangled, Tarzan and the Little Mermaid. Lilo and Stitch is also pretty awesome!
5) I have blue eyes and blonde hair. I get my hair highlighted blonde, but I've always wanted really dark hair but I don't think I'd suit it!
6) My favourite subject at school is History. I think it's so super interesting and what happened back then is what has made the world today! I also find RE really interesting as History and RE kinda link together. My least favourite subject is Drama. I just find it really stressful and I get quite nervous when performing in front of people (outwardly I'm quite confident, but I'm not so confident about my abilities and worry about what people may thing of me). I do try my best to enjoy the subject but I really regret taking it.
7) I hate feet, pigeons, snobs and mushrooms

SO as a final part you have to nominate 15 people for the award.
This is so cheating but one of my gorgeous chummys started blogging recently and I wanted to showcase her gorgeous blog!

It's my little cherub Kate! I have known Kate for quite a while now, and I absolutely love her to bits! She has JUST started her blog and sent it to me on Facebook and it is adorable! We're both massive Youtube fans and both want to start doing videos, so look out kiddas;-) Her blog is very similar to mine, but she is so much better at taking photos than I am! Everything about her is utterly fantastic! Kate is in the year below me at school, but we always see each other and say hello. We also have a little gossip on Snapchat occasionally and I just love her to pieces! So please go and look at this gorgeous girls gorgeous blog!
http://katethetaylor.blogspot.co.uk

Thank you ever so much for reading! I hope you enjoyed it!
Kate told me I inspired her to blog again (she had one but nobody looked at it) and it made me so happy to think I inspired people! If you want to do something, go for it! Blogging is so so fun, and even if you get 5 page views, you'll still have produced something that'll be utterly fantastic! If you want tips or advice on blogging, Tweet me @emilymatherrr_ or comment on one of my instagram photos @emilymatherrr_! I am happy to help, and want so many more blogging buddies that will share my adoration for blogging!

Thank you!!!!

London!

Hello there my lovely little blog readers!
I am awfully sorry I haven't written a blog in what seems like forever, but I have been very busy with school work and special occasions and things, STRESSFUL TIMES! However, I have decided to sit down with a cup of tea, in my onesie and write a blog about my fantastic weekend. I was lucky enough to be given to opportunity to go to London, visit the O2 area and see TDCC with my best friends! It was honestly one of the best experiences of my life and I loved every minute of it! I also went shopping in 'Westfield' which was wonderful, however it wasn't so wonderful for my purse. Then on Sunday, I went on a spontaneous trip to Leeds which was also brilliant! So yes thank you very much to everyone who made my weekend happen and those who made it incredibly fabulous!!!

Friday 13th December
Chocolate Cake from Pizza Express
Superstitious people would suggest that "Friday 13th' would be a terrible day, however it was absolutely amazing. We travelled down to London and stayed with my friends Auntie and Uncle, who are very lovely people with a very lovely house. We arrived, said hello, got ready and then dashed off to the tube station. We then caught two tubes to the O2 arena. At the O2 we had a lil' food stop at 'Pizza Express' before heading into the arena itself. We were there to see 'Two Door Cinema Club' however there were two support acts who were amazing!

First on were 'Swim Deep' who are one of my favourite bands and they didn't fail to impress. They performed a selection of songs of their new album and they were absolutely fab! 'The Sea' and 'Honey' are my favourite Swim Deep and seeing them live made me incredibly happy!

The second support act were the Crystal Fighters. I'd heart a few of their songs before but I wasn't entirely sure what to expect. They came on and brought to much energy to the stage and everyone was on their feet. 'The Plage', 'You and I' and 'I Love London', were some of the songs they performed and they were my personal favourites!

And then finally we had Two Door, and oh my goodness they were AMAZING!!!! Alex Trimble is the most talented person ever! They started with 'Sleep Alone' and then finished with 'What You Know', but my favourites were definitely 'Something Good Can Work' and 'I Can Talk'. The atmosphere was amazing and the place was absolutely packed full of people. They were just amazing! I can't even describe how good they were.

On the way back, we got two tubes again. This woman told me and my 3 amigos that 'You'll still be the same when you're 30, you won't change, don't change' and it was adorable and sent me on a very long train of thought about life! We then got off the tube and had a wee ticket disaster because I almost got stuck in the tube station, stupid ticket machine. Me and Katie then got ditched, which meant we got lost. We then got found again and made it home, safely! We were all exhausted and went to bed!

Saturday 14th December

I woke up early because I am literally the worst person at having a lie in! We then got ready and drove to Westfield Shopping Centre! It was busy!!! The place was vast, but absolutely stunning. All the christmas decorations were so pretty and there was a little ice skating rink which looked cute. 'The Village' was the expensive part of the centre, with shops like Kurt Geiger and Ted Baker. Then there was the other part with places like Topshop, Zara, Hollister, Jack Wills, Boots etc. We managed to spend 4 hours in the shopping centre and I managed to spend £30 in Lush. OOOOOPS.

I bought a shirt from Zara. It's a small dogtooth print in black and white in a sheer, chiffon material. I also bought some chelsea boots with a heel from H&M. I then bought, Snow Fairy Shower Gel, Dragons Egg, So White, Titsy Totsy, Secret Santa, Golden Wonder and Shoot For the Stars bath bombs! Which I love, and I really want to do like a Lush Haul Blog to show y'all what they're like!! After shopping we went home! I had such a good time in London but my weekend wasn't over yet!
Golden Wonder, So White, Secret Santa, Dragons Egg, Shoot for the Stars, Titsy Totsy, Snow Fairy Shower Gel!

Sunday 15th December

A cute lil' lego calendar!
As if my weekend hadn't been busy enough I decided to go to Leeds! I went with one of my friends, and I didn't buy very much at all, but managed to spend quite a bit! First we got the train, then grabbed something to eat. We then went to the Trinity Centre where we wandered round a bit and I went into Victoria Secret. I got a new fragrance mist, 'Love Spell' that smells divine! It is supposedly cherry blossom and peach but I think it's a really fruity, refreshing fragrance! It smells lovely and I already have like 5 of these fragrances but you can never have too many! Then we popped into Harvey Nicholls where I got yet another Mac Lipstick! I got the shade 'Party Line' which is a darkish red in a cremesheen finish! It's perfect for winter and I just love it, it's like nothing I've had before! Finally I popped into Hotel Chocolat and got a few bits for christmas presents!

So..... I had a pretty hectic weekend! How was your weekend? I am so excited for christmas, only one week of school to go!! I am hoping that 2014 will be a year of positivity and happiness. I will be back soon and won't leave you waiting too long!
Thank you!!!

DISCLAIMER : I do absolutely love blogging and I am SO grateful for all the views and praise I receive, however, it does take up a massive chunk of my time, drafting, typing, uploading photos and checking my blog! I can't promise weekly blogs or anything because I have lots of school work plus extra curricular activities and it's all very time consuming! I LOVE YOU ALL AND I AM SO SORRY I WOULD LOVE TO BE A 24/7 BLOGGER!

Thanks for Reading!

November Favourites!

Hello my lil' blog beauties!
It's been what? Less than 24 hours since you last heard from me and I am back with a new blog about my November Favourites! Hurray!
Now, this November favourites is a lil' bit different. I have been at school all day, and I then stayed behind for school show rehearsals, consequently I haven't been home when it's light. This means I haven't had the chance to take lots of lovely, bright, pretty pictures. The lighting in my room is horrible, so all the pictures I take look absolutely awful and so grimey and dull. Because of this, a lot of my pictures in this post will have been seen in my previous post. I apologise for this, and I will make up for in a sparkling brand new super amazing fabulous blog very very very very soon!

Beauty : I haven't purchased a lot of new make up this month, so one of these products is an old favourite of mine! The first of my favourites is this Topshop Lipstick in 'Wicked'. This is such a dark, vampy colour ideal for winter. It's absolutely gorgeous. A selection of dark lipsticks are a winter staple, and this one is perfect for the collection. The colour is described as 'Burgundy' on the Topshop website, but I think it's more of a purple, maroony-red colour depending on how much product you apply. I've worn this lipstick on weekends and the occasional meal out with simple eyeshadow and blacked winged eyeliner, and I've really liked the way it looked. The red makes blue eye's look sparkly and so much more blue, which I absolutely love, it also makes my teeth look a LOT whiter (HUGE BONUS), I think this lipstick suits most skin tones, and people with both brunette and blonde hair. I actually think it'd look gorgeous on someone with brown hair, however I don't plan on changing my hair anytime soon!

My next favourite is the best thing I have ever purchased in my whole entire life. I am in love with this product, it makes me look so tanned which I love and also works great as a substitute for bronzer when contouring. This product is the 'Soleil Tan de Chanel' and oooo my this is so pretty! I went to school today with a lil' bit of fake tan on, and sometimes I feel like my whole entire body is tanned except my face, as I cover it up with foundation. However, today I entered a whole new world of tannedness. I put the bronzing primer as a base before I applied my foundation and I WAS TANNED! I looked like I'd just come back from like Spain or somewhere! I think everyone looks better with a tan but being a naturally pale gyal I opt for the fake option. Anyway, the product is easy to work with, and so easy to apply. I used a 'Real Techniques' expert face brush to blend it in and wowza I loved it! I had this on my Christmas List but treated myself early, this is a wonderful edition to any make up collection, and should be added to any beauty lovers Christmas List!

Final Beauty Favourite is an oldie! It's the 'Sleek' single blusher in 'Rose Gold'. I've had this blush a while and I love it, I wear it almost every day, and absolutely adore it. It's a shimmery pink and it's just so pretty. Sometimes I find shimmery blushers are just to glittery and look overly tacky and gross, but this one is lovely! It adds the right amount of shimmer and colour. 'Sleek' blushers are so pigmented it is crazy, and they're so cheap. The single ones are £4.49 from Superdrug, and the palettes of 3 are £9.99 (bargain!!!). Also I think Boot's have started selling Sleek which means more Boots points! I suggest you definitely go purchase a Sleek Blusher!

Music Favourites -

After beauty, music is my favourite thing! I've chosen 4 songs that I've been loving this month. My music taste is basically a huge mess of everything so none of these songs are at all the same, but they're my favourites so yeah!

Gypsy - Lady Gaga
THIS SONG IS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! I think Lady Gaga is an absolute gem, she's so obscure it's crazy but she's also so talented. There are so many amazing songs on ARTPOP, her new album, but Gypsy is my personal favourite. It's just so upbeat and like nothing anyone has ever done before. I can't even explain how much I love this song, just go listen to it and you will understand. Oh also, on another Lady Gaga, go and check out the Glee Version of Marry the Night, it's incredible.

Girls - The 1975
The 1975 are one of my favourite bands and their new album is so good! Matt Healy's voice is so different and absolutely amazing. The guitar riffs in this song are literally incredible and the whole album is full of fabulous songs! I particularly love this song because it's so upbeat and happy! I also love Chocolate, but I overplayed that song so much when it first came out that I rarely listen to it now! Definitely suggest you purchase that album!

Little Comets - Jennifer
This song is amazing! I only recently started listening to a lot of Little Comets stuff, and oh my goodness they're fantastic. Their songs are literally like poetry, it's wonderful! Jennifer is my personal favourite but they have so many amazing songs, and they all deserve a listen!

Changing of the Seasons - Two Door Cinema Club
The newest song from my favourite band! Ok I'm gonna tell you a lil' story now. Me and two of my bestest friends were in Leeds and we went into Victoria Secret Pink store because the fragrances there smell lovely. A TDCC song was playing but I literally can't remember which one. One of my bestest chummy's was singing along and the other asked, 'how do you know this song' and then she was like 'I love Two Door Cinema Club' and I was like 'OMG NO WAY SAME'. So then we were talking about going to see them, and then it became apparent that two of my other best chummys love them too! So four of us got tickets to see TDCC in London on the 13th of December! WOW! But yes, they're amazing, I love both their albums and everyone should listen to them. COOL BEANS!

Film -
I'm not a big film person, and I don't go to the cinema often, and I really wanna see Catching Fire but I'm saving for London!
So, instead I was browsing the internet and came across Heathers. I had heard of the film before as it was mentioned in Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist, and also in a quiz we did in English last year! But anyway, this is like the original Mean Girls, it's like an 80's girly film that all girls should watch. Another of my favourite films is the Breakfast Club, and this film appeals to similar kinda people so yeah, if you like The Breakfast Club, watch Heathers.

Fragrance -
Victoria Secret Pink Warm and Cozy
THIS IS MY FAVOURITE SMELL EVER IT IS WONDERFUL I LOVE IT! It's Vanilla and Peony supposedly, but it's just a sweet smelling wonderful fragrance! I have the body spray and the perfume, and they're both AMAZING! So many Victoria Secret stores have opened in the UK, which is also fabulous! So yes, go smell all the fragrances, but Warm and Cozy is my favourite! :-)

Random Favourites
Morrisons - White Chocolate Milkshake
OH MY GOSH THIS STUFF IS WONDERFUL! I went in my fridge one day, just browsing for something to drink, and it was there and I was like oooo this looks fancy I shall try it, and OH MY GOSH I WAS INLOVE. It's basically liquid milky bars, oh wow. Seriously try this stuff because it is amazing. I don't even know how to explain it!

Lush Christmas Collection-
Lush is a fabulous shop, and this year the Christmas Collection is bigger and better than ever. The luxury lush pud is my favourite bath bomb ever and smells amazing! The big white one (I don't know the name) that smells of apples smells delicious also and makes the bath so bubbly and lovely! I just love lush. My favourite products are the sugary lip scrub things, and they brought out a Cola one for Christmas, which I am desperate to try!

The end of a third blog! I am really loving this blogging lark and it feels so great knowing people do actually take the time to read it! It's a massive self esteem boost hearing great things and I absolutely love blogging! I know it's a lot to read and not everyones cup of tea but I enjoy doing it and hope you enjoy reading it! So yes, cheesy appreciation message over, thank you very much for reading!

Favourite Make-Up Bit's and Bob's!

Hello there my lovely little blog buddies!
I've caught the blogging bug and have decided to bring you a second blog! TA DA!!
So, as you may have guessed from the title, this blog post will showcase my favourite make-up bits and bobs! There's no theme throughout this blog, it's just my favourite things, new or old, high end or drugstore!
So here goes

My Make Up Favourites! Soleil Tan de Chanel Bronzing Base, Mac Lipstick in Creme Cup, Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum, Maybelline Colour Tattoo's, Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer, Benefit 'They're Real' Mascara.
My first favourite, is a very recent purchase, it's the 'Chanel Tan De Soleil Bronzing Makeup Base'. This product is absolutely gorgeous! It's shimmery, it's very pigmented and just adds a super sun kissed shimmer look to the complexion. It is expensive, and there are cheaper dupes out there but I personally think it is worth the £31 price tag. I love it on days where my skin just needs that little bit of summer glow, or to make me look more awake. The 'Bourjois Bronzing Primer' is a very good dupe, however I think that it's less pigmented and you need a lot more of that product to get the same effect as the Chanel one, the designer packaging is so pretty and sometimes it's nice to own a high end product!

My second beauty favourite is every girls 'holy grail' lipstick brand, Mac. I absolutely adore Mac lipsticks, they're so pigmented, easy to apply and the colour range is phenomenal! My favourite colour is definitely 'Creme Cup', it's the most gorgeous everyday pink, in a Creme Sheen finish. I wear this lipstick practically everyday, and I absolutely love it. Also another thing about Mac lippys, I think they smell absolutely fantastic. It's not the first thing you look for when purchasing a lipstick, but seriously they smell like marshmallows! Considering drugstore lipsticks are around £5-£8, Mac lipsticks are quite expensive, the standard ones costing £15, however they are worth every single penny because they're just so wonderful!

This is the lipstick in Creme Cup, I didn't want to put anymore colours on simply because this is my favourite!

Another beauty favourite is the 'Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum', it took me a while to jump on the bandwagon and purchase this, as I wasn't sure whether to go for the serum or the foundation, however I love it! It's a light to medium coverage, but it's build-able  I wouldn't recommend the serum to people with oily skin, just because it's quite moisturising and adds unwanted moisture, however I have combination skin (I think) and it suits me perfectly! It's another product which smells delicious and the value for money is so good! I think it was £10.99 from Boots, and so worth that money, Boots have 3 for 2 offers more often than not so I'd suggest you defiantly go and pick that one up!

My fourth beauty favourite is the Maybelline Colour Tattoo's! These are SO pretty! When wearing eyeshadows, I like to go quite neutral, so I have the colours Permanent Taupe (a matte, taupy brown colour), On and On Bronze ( A gorgeous shimmery gold brown colour) and Pink Gold ( A shimmery pink with gold glitters). I love these! They stop your eyeshadow from creasing but also look gorgeous on their own. I prefer the shimmery ones, as the matte ones are quite difficult to work with. The one problem I have with these products is the colour range. All the colours are a bit 'out there' for me, and I think if they extended the neutral range, I would happily purchase them! Other than that, I highly recommend them, and at only £5 they're cheaper than other products such as Mac Paint Pots!

I didn't put permanent taupe in the photo because it looked disgusting and also I couldn't find it! Sorry for the hideous state of On and On Bronze, I do use it quite often!

My penultimate favourite is the 'Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer'. This concealer is fantastic, it covers blemishes and dark under eye circles. It's so pigmented and a really high coverage. The colour range isn't the best, with there being only 4 shades, but, it is so cheap, around about £4, and the coverage is just incredible! It's great on those days where you can't really be bothered, and great on pesky little spots! I'd recommend it to everyone!

These photos aren't the best but I have two shades, Light 1 (left) and Fair 2 (right). The actual writing on the packaging has rubbed off so I apologise for the grubby appearance!

And finally, the Benefit 'They're Real Mascara'. This mascara is SO amazing! I have very long eyelashes, and this mascara lengthens them even more! The applicator is plastic, which I'm not usually a fan of, however I find this one so easy to use! It is pricey depending on the size of the bottle you buy, the small one at £9.50 or the larger one at £19.50, however this product is so worth it! Benefit packaging is always so cutesy and girly and this product is no exception! Definitely a must have!

The picture of the applicator is from the large bottle, however the mini one is basically the same, but the wand is shorter!

So they're my favourite beauty products! Hope you enjoyed reading that and I hope to bring you more beauty related posts in the future!

Cheeky Lil' Blog Introduction!

Hello there my lil' blog friends!
This is my first post on my new blog, and I am not entirely sure what I am supposed to be doing, however I'm going to give it a go! This first wee post is just going to be a little bit of information about myself and what I enjoy! I hope you enjoy reading it!

So, My name is Emily Mather, I was born on the 22nd of October 1998, and currently live in the middle of nowhere in West Yorkshire!
I am in Year 10 at school, the first year of studying for my GCSE's and I do really enjoy school, but it is extremely stressful sometimes. I took Drama, French, History and Separate Sciences as my four options as well as all the core subjects. Out of school, I am working towards an extra GCSE in Statistics (yawn!), and I also have singing lessons, and currently have three grades, and I am taking the exam for Grade 4 in February! My favourite subjects at school are English, Biology, French and History, however I like to moan about how much I hate them (confusing, I know). I do enjoy most of the subjects I have taken, and hope to get good grades and have a successful career when I'm older!
In my spare time I love spending time with my friends. I have a fantastic group of friends and I love them all very much! I love shopping and going to concerts. I also adore anything fashion and beauty related, and spent a lot of time (and money) on my make up! I spend hours organising my make up collection and trying out new looks, instead of doing homework (naughty moi). I'm a typical girly girl really!
My favourite colour is Orange, and my favourite food are those pink and blue fizzy bottle sweets! My favourite band are Two Door Cinema Club and I'm lucky enough to be going to see them in London in a few weeks!
My idol is Demi Lovato, I love everything about her, her music and her inspirational way with words and her hilarious jokes about Simon Cowell! I also love YouTube, and hope to have a channel some day!
PHEW! That was a lot to read! I hope you enjoyed that cheeky bit of blogging, and stay tuned for more in the future!
If you'd like to take a look at my social sites, I have twitter, facebook, instagram and tumblr, however I don't use tumblr much!
