Hello there my lovely little blog buddies!
I've caught the blogging bug and have decided to bring you a second blog! TA DA!!
So, as you may have guessed from the title, this blog post will showcase my favourite make-up bits and bobs! There's no theme throughout this blog, it's just my favourite things, new or old, high end or drugstore!
So here goes
My first favourite, is a very recent purchase, it's the 'Chanel Tan De Soleil Bronzing Makeup Base'. This product is absolutely gorgeous! It's shimmery, it's very pigmented and just adds a super sun kissed shimmer look to the complexion. It is expensive, and there are cheaper dupes out there but I personally think it is worth the £31 price tag. I love it on days where my skin just needs that little bit of summer glow, or to make me look more awake. The 'Bourjois Bronzing Primer' is a very good dupe, however I think that it's less pigmented and you need a lot more of that product to get the same effect as the Chanel one, the designer packaging is so pretty and sometimes it's nice to own a high end product!
My second beauty favourite is every girls 'holy grail' lipstick brand, Mac. I absolutely adore Mac lipsticks, they're so pigmented, easy to apply and the colour range is phenomenal! My favourite colour is definitely 'Creme Cup', it's the most gorgeous everyday pink, in a Creme Sheen finish. I wear this lipstick practically everyday, and I absolutely love it. Also another thing about Mac lippys, I think they smell absolutely fantastic. It's not the first thing you look for when purchasing a lipstick, but seriously they smell like marshmallows! Considering drugstore lipsticks are around £5-£8, Mac lipsticks are quite expensive, the standard ones costing £15, however they are worth every single penny because they're just so wonderful!
This is the lipstick in Creme Cup, I didn't want to put anymore colours on simply because this is my favourite!
Another beauty favourite is the 'Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum', it took me a while to jump on the bandwagon and purchase this, as I wasn't sure whether to go for the serum or the foundation, however I love it! It's a light to medium coverage, but it's build-able I wouldn't recommend the serum to people with oily skin, just because it's quite moisturising and adds unwanted moisture, however I have combination skin (I think) and it suits me perfectly! It's another product which smells delicious and the value for money is so good! I think it was £10.99 from Boots, and so worth that money, Boots have 3 for 2 offers more often than not so I'd suggest you defiantly go and pick that one up!
My fourth beauty favourite is the Maybelline Colour Tattoo's! These are SO pretty! When wearing eyeshadows, I like to go quite neutral, so I have the colours Permanent Taupe (a matte, taupy brown colour), On and On Bronze ( A gorgeous shimmery gold brown colour) and Pink Gold ( A shimmery pink with gold glitters). I love these! They stop your eyeshadow from creasing but also look gorgeous on their own. I prefer the shimmery ones, as the matte ones are quite difficult to work with. The one problem I have with these products is the colour range. All the colours are a bit 'out there' for me, and I think if they extended the neutral range, I would happily purchase them! Other than that, I highly recommend them, and at only £5 they're cheaper than other products such as Mac Paint Pots!
I didn't put permanent taupe in the photo because it looked disgusting and also I couldn't find it! Sorry for the hideous state of On and On Bronze, I do use it quite often!
My penultimate favourite is the 'Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer'. This concealer is fantastic, it covers blemishes and dark under eye circles. It's so pigmented and a really high coverage. The colour range isn't the best, with there being only 4 shades, but, it is so cheap, around about £4, and the coverage is just incredible! It's great on those days where you can't really be bothered, and great on pesky little spots! I'd recommend it to everyone!
These photos aren't the best but I have two shades, Light 1 (left) and Fair 2 (right). The actual writing on the packaging has rubbed off so I apologise for the grubby appearance!
And finally, the Benefit 'They're Real Mascara'. This mascara is SO amazing! I have very long eyelashes, and this mascara lengthens them even more! The applicator is plastic, which I'm not usually a fan of, however I find this one so easy to use! It is pricey depending on the size of the bottle you buy, the small one at £9.50 or the larger one at £19.50, however this product is so worth it! Benefit packaging is always so cutesy and girly and this product is no exception! Definitely a must have!
The picture of the applicator is from the large bottle, however the mini one is basically the same, but the wand is shorter!
So they're my favourite beauty products! Hope you enjoyed reading that and I hope to bring you more beauty related posts in the future!
